Under a Management agreement, the French Market Corporation manages, operates and staffs the Upper Pontalba Building.
The Upper Pontalba’s 14 commercial spaces and 50 apartment units are fully occupied and there is a waiting list for the building’s prized apartments. The Upper Pontalba is self-sustaining and profitable. By ordinance, its profits must be set aside for projects benefiting the Vieux Carre.
